Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the estelair app (“estelair”, “we”, “the app”) handles. estelair is published by the developer, contactable at contact@estelair.com.

Information stored on your device

estelair stores the following locally on your device only — it is never uploaded to us:

• Your alarms and their settings (time, days, station, snooze, volume, etc.).
• Your saved and recently-played radio stations.
• Your app preferences (sleep timer, wind-down/bedtime settings, etc.).
• A short, local record of recent nights used to show your wake time.

Uninstalling the app (or clearing its data in Android settings) deletes all of this.

Information collected automatically

If the app crashes, estelair sends an anonymous crash report through Google Firebase Crashlytics. This includes the device state at the time of the crash — device model, Android version, app version, a stack trace, and a per-installation identifier (a Crashlytics installation ID that does not identify you or your device). It helps us find and fix bugs.

estelair does not track your usage of the app, and it contains no advertising identifier (no ad ID is collected). We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise or approximate location, photos, microphone audio, or any other personal content. We do not sell data. We do not show advertising.

Network connections

To browse and play radio, estelair connects to:

• the Radio-Browser community directory (radio-browser.info) to search for and list stations, and
• the radio stations’ own stream servers, operated by third parties, to play audio and (where provided) show the current song title.
• Google Play, only if you buy Estelair Plus, to process and later restore that purchase. Google handles the payment; estelair never sees or stores your card or billing details.

These third parties may receive standard request information such as your IP address and device type, as is normal for any internet request. We have no control over their practices; please refer to the relevant station/provider for details.

Permissions and why estelair asks for them

• Alarms & reminders / exact alarms, notifications, and full-screen alerts — so your alarm reliably rings on time and can show over the lock screen.
• Foreground service & wake lock — to keep radio and the wind-down sound playing with the screen off.
• Vibrate, modify audio settings, ignore battery optimisations, Do-Not-Disturb access — to make the alarm and the bedtime reminder dependable, including in Do Not Disturb.
• Internet & network state — to find and stream radio.
• Run at startup — to re-arm your alarms after a reboot.

estelair does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone or storage/photo permissions.

Data security & retention

Network connections use encryption in transit (HTTPS) where the provider supports it. On-device data stays in the app’s private storage. Crash-report data is retained by Google according to Firebase Crashlytics’ standard retention settings.

Children

estelair is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your choices

• You can stop all collection by uninstalling the app (or clearing its data in Android settings).

Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
